Alberto Minali

Alberto Minali

Alberto Minali has over 15 years of experience in insurance and financial risk management. Alberto began his career in 1991 with Generali in Trieste before joining the London branch of Generali to manage and to develop various portfolios and accounts.At the UK Branch he was in particular in charge of the Eastern European and Caribbean P&C Reinsurance Portfolio and he was leading the P&C Reserve team. In 1996 he was an assistant to the managing director in charge of the international division of Generali and involved in the acquisition of German insurance group AMB as well as the formation of various holding structures in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In 1998 Alberto joined INA Group as head of corporate finance where among others he developed and managed portfolios of insurance linked securities. After being head of IPO Group for Società Cattolica di Assicurazione, Alberto worked five years for Allianz-RAS as head of capital and value management where he developed actuarial, financial, operational risk model for life and non-life businesses as well as model and quantitative theory for pricing and risk management of earthquake and flood risk for the Italian non-life portfolio. In 2005, Alberto joined Eurizon Financial Group first as chief financial officer (CFO) of the insurance entity Eurizon Vita and then also as chief investment officer (CIO) where he has overall responsibility on capital measurement and allocation, strategic allocation, investments of insurance assets and prop portfolios (in excess of EUR 40 billion) and product development. In 2008 Alberto founded Katarsis Capital Advisors. Alberto is graduated in Economics from L. Bocconi University, Milan (Italy) and has studied at Yale University, Connecticut (USA) and Brandeis University, Massachusetts (USA). Alberto is a CFA charterholder and published numerous articles on economics and quantitative analysis.

 

 

Marco Capello

Marco Capello

Marco Capello has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and private equity. Marco spent over 18 years in investment banking first with Credit Suisse First Boston and then with Wasserstein Perella and Merrill Lynch where he was mainly involved in merger and acquisition transactions managed and advised by the New York and the London offices. He started his career in 1985 with Credit Suisse First Boston where he was an associate in the merger and acquisition department. During the years 1988 – 1994, he was responsible for Southern Europe and a member of the European Executive committee at Wasserstein Perella. While being with Merrill Lynch, he was one of the youngest managing directors during the years 1994 – 2002. Being the head of investment banking for Italy of Merrill Lynch, revenues increased many folds and Italy was consistently ranked among the best run countries within Merrill Lynch. Based on its investment banking experience, Marco began to acquire stakes in companies for his own account. Due to fact that his personal investments have been successful, Merrill Lynch, which was then starting its private equity operation in Europe, nominated him in 2002 as managing director of the infant Private Equity Practice (MLGPE).In the first three years, MLGPE invested EUR 650 million in private equity deals with returns well above the industry standards. Marco Capello holds an MBA from Columbia University, New York. He graduated in Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Turin and he has been one of the youngest engineers in Italy

 

 


Paul Guillame

Paul Guillame

Paul Guillaume has over 25 years of experience in banking, finance, accounting and corporate agency services. Paul began his career as a lawyer in 1982 before joining Banque Générale du Luxembourg (today Fortis Banque Luxembourg) where he among others was responsible for the accounting of two subsidiaries and gained experience in the setting-up and the placing of international loans. In 1987 he joined First Nordic Bank where he was responsible of the lending activities. While being with First Nordic Bank, he was managing director and co-founder of Nordic Mediterranean, a real estate consultancy company set up under the form of joint venture between Crédit Mutuel and First Nordic Bank. In 1992 he joined Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat as deputy head of the International Credit Department where he was among others in charge of investments in structured loans (ABS, MBS) and project finance as well as responsible for the loan acceptance to borrowers in North and South-East Asia, North America and Southern Europe. While being with Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat, he was involved in the set up of European Fund Administration (EFA), today one of the leading fund administrators in Luxembourg. In 2000 he joined State Street Bank Luxembourg SA where his latest function has been head of Sales & Business Development. In 2006, Paul Guillame became managing director of Carne Global Financial Services Luxembourg. Today he is a member of several boards including boards of undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities (UCITS) and he is also a member of marketing committee of ALFI, the Luxembourg fund association. He graduated in law from the University of Nice.
